GENERAL INFORMATION Lebensmittel Consulting was started in 1982 by Dr. Richard Basel and incorporated in 1984. We first started by providing consulting expertise in the food area, but have grown in the last 20 years into Laboratory testing and research areas. We are a company providing food testing, consulting, analysis, product development, process design, and research relating to chemistry, microbiology, and postharvest physiology, HACCP, Legal and sensory work is provided along with pilot scale work. We can also provide testing and expertise in the materials area, especially relating to carbon and biodegradable products. Please inquire about your specific need. We use referred methods for most of our analyses including ACS, AOAC, AOCS, ASM, ASTA, ASQ, ASTM, Compendium of Methods for the Microbiological Examination of Foods, EPA, FDA, IFT, Standard methods for Water and Waste Water, USDA, and many other methods. Please contact us if you are interested in run a specific method or need to know the correct method for your product or application. We help customers in food areas relating to the following governmental agencies: FDA including the Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition USDA including Food Safety and Inspection Service, the Food and Nutrition Center, and USDA Food Composition Data Bank. EPA regulating pesticides and waste discharge. Federal Trade Commission regulating food advertising. National Marine Fisheries Service Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms Centers for Disease Control for food borne illnesses. |
