TROUBLESHOOTING Often, processors have Lebensmittel Consulting help with difficult questions which they can not figure out internally. This would include product spoilage, adulteration, microbial safety questions, and problems with the product quality. You may be a small company or a large company without extra personnel to put on the problem. Lebensmittel Consulting has a long experience with such problems whether there was a defect in ingredients or packaging, processing, mistakes by personnel, or mishandling after the product left your facility. We can help you analyze the problem and develop a strategy to eliminate the problem. After all, the most important thing is the solution. If a defective product comes back to you from a consumer, customer or some other source, we can often help you diagnose what is wrong with the product and at what step the problem occurred as well as developing corrective actions. If an inspector visits your facility and is suspicious that you have a defect in your product, it is always a good idea to take duplicate samples and document them so they can be compared in case the inspector comes back with a result which you want a second opinion on. Sometimes the inspector or a governmental lab gives an incorrect result, which could result in a recall or other damage to your reputation. Use of a second opinion may be your only protection when disputing a ruling.
